HSE Service Plan laid before Oireachtas

The Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children approved the 2006 HSE National Service Plan on 22nd December 2005. The approved Service Plan was laid before the houses of the Oireachtas on 9th January 2006.
The Department has agreed a monitoring framework for the Service Plan with the HSE and will receive monthly and quarterly reports on progress under the Plan. This will be supplemented by quarterly meetings between the Secretary General and the Chief Executive Officer of the HSE to discuss issues which have arisen relating to implementation of the Service Plan. The Department is working with HSE to review the service plan content and format and to refine reporting and monitoring arrangements.
